I’ve been going through a lot of trouble with UPS trying to get my A2 TGM. It shipped 10 days ago and first they lost it then found it in California and forwarded it to me in Dallas. I usually sign for my UPS packages using My Choice and have never had an issue with them leaving it on the porch or in the mailbox and after I get delivery confirmation I call my wife (she works two miles from our house) and she will come put it inside.

Anyhow for some reason(s) this TGM is different and they will not leave it at my house, I even wrote saying to leave it on the porch or in the mailbox and signed the little note they put on your door. Still nothing, got another missed signature note. I called UPS and had them put it on will call and I just got home from a 60 mile round trip empty handed because the driver was still out and may or may not be back in time for me to pick it up. I just told them to return to sender because I won’t be able to come pick it up again and they can’t deliver to my house because I put it on will call haha. Also the lady said when I went to pick it up that someone had to be there that is 21 or older to sign for it, I told her you didn’t have to be 21 to purchase what I bought.

So my question is can or will they ship USPS or FedEx? I’ve never had an issue like this before with UPS but it has put a bad taste in my mouth and I’m done with them. I don’t care if the shipping is more or even if I have to pay shipping again to have it sent back to me.

Thank you. This has without a doubt been the biggest PITA.

I’ve been raising hell. Talked to 7 or 8 different UPS people cause I’m constantly calling to figure out where my package is or why it wasn’t delivered or trying to figure out another way to get it. I’m seriously over it and don’t want to deal with this issue with my DS8 and SK that should be shipping shortly.
 
UPS screwed up my TG SE too. I signed online as always. They didnt deliver it, I got home and saw the dreaded "we attempted delivery" note. Next day, I was home all day and UPS never showed up. That night the tracking showed they dropped it at a pick up location(ghetto gas station). I get there and the cashier couldnt find the package. When she found it the box was soaked and was falling apart. UPS is a nightmare
 
I work in shipping, and I can tell you how I would handle this situation. First, contact the Shipper (Busse), and explain your situation. They should have a preferred account with ups, or at the very least a good relationship with their rep. Ask them to have the ship to name/address changed. I would have it sent to my job. If that’s not an option, maybe to a friend or family member who is willing to help you out. Rarely, UPS will want confirmation of the name/address change from the recipient. If that happens, you would be talking to someone dealing with Busse’s UPS account. Could take up to 4 or 5 days once the change is made, and there might be a charge (usually not). Problem solved!!!

Though, I’m uncertain if the willcall part changes anything.

May have to ask for a change back to USPS as well. Got a good regular UPS courier, but his alternates are shite, especially once they figured out that if they stand just off my property on another street, they are close enough to trick their gps device into accepting a no delivery at my address without even coming to the door. Further, 3 missed attempts mean now you have to submit a challenge to UPS and they decide if you get another @ door attempt...or yer off to the depot...Mine is at Phila. International Airport, a PITA drive at about any time of day, about 30-40 min in light traffic, which did I mention Philly? LOL :D;) ...USPS, ya miss? No biggie, just a hop to the local PO.
 
They ship USPS to me since I’ve been stationed in Puerto Rico. Fedex and UPS consider it international shipping here. USPS does 3 day priority for normal
Price. And my experience, USPS is faster than either of the others unless you are doing overnight shipping.
 
We live in a rural setting and are retired, so UPS deliveries are not a problem. We have an excellent driver who knows I receive Busses and has even called me if he missed me the after first attempt.
 
It never ceases to amaze me how UPS is such a PITA to deal with. Their JOB is to DELIVER a package to you at the address they agreed with the shipper on.
I agree, contact Busse at this point an turn Amy loose on their UPS rep. It's your best bet now.

I am so sorry to hear about your UPS issues. We spoke to UPS regarding your lost package and they said that they found it and it was scheduled for delivery the next day. We do also use USPS so if you would like I can notate on your invoices to ship USPS. You can send me a email to amy@bussecombat.com

Any orders in the future I am going to ask for USPS. UPS is very bad here unless you are a business.

Busse Combat knives..... customer service, designs, materials, fit and finish, ergonomics, warranty, aftermarket value, performance, history.... can’t go wrong when you have this combination.
 
I really dislike UPS for the exact reasons everyone else has stated above.

My UPS driver NEVER KNOCKS OR RINGS THE DOORBELL. Not ever. Even though MyChoice has a release authorization noted, my delivery guy just won't leave the package, so without doubt I see the dreaded sticky note for EVERY SINGLE BUSSE DELIVERY. I called customer service for UPS and the representative stated that the drivers"aren't required to knock or ring the doorbell!"

Unfortunately, my psychic doorbell is out of order, so...

It's nice knowing Busse can be flexible and ship USPS!
 
I just remembered something a friend told me who was in receiving and felt a lot with UPS.

Part of the issue is UPS has set times for every delivery. These are generated by some crazy master computer program and are unrealistic. I don't remember what happens if they miss their times. But this would explain why they don't knock and wait for you to come get your package.
