Hello. Does anyone have experience shipping knives to South Africa? I have a guy in Pretoria that asked me to make him some knives, but I've never shipped anything outside of the US or Canada. He wants me to ship straight to his door because apparently a lot of stuff gets stolen down there. Any recommendations? His recommendations were to ship via FedEx and pay via PayPal? Do you guys see any issues with that? I just want to avoid any potential headaches. Maybe it's more trouble than it's worth?🤷

If you don't have a FedEx account, do a quick price check. Be sitting down when you do. You're going to be looking at several hundred dollars. You'll also need a customs compliant invoice to include with the package. PayPal will give the buyer 100% protection if anything goes south and you'll take the hit. Check on other forms of payment such as Wise.
