Hello dear friends,

With God's good will today i present you another 'Shirasaya' - full size, titanium frame lock folder - the 'Japan-ised' brother of the 'Skiagusta' :)

Built around a titanium 'core' this folder is a gorgeous cutter.

An aluminium/vanadium alloy, Grade 5 TA6V titanium offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, toughness and ductility hence it was the choice for the frame of the folder.
The detent ball is high quality ceramic for an ever lasting smooth action without deformations.

All screws are precision machined stainless steel, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel so no wear in there even after prolonged years of use.
The blade slides on bronze washers with 'grease pockets'.

The blade is made using the high carbon Wolfram Special tool steel at 64 hrc (beware it is not rustproof but you know me - i am the carbon steel guy :D), with a high flat grind and a classy satin finish. The blade comes razor sharp.

Shirasaya features on short:

- Wolfram Special high carbon tool steel, 64hrc, satin finish (a beast blade)
- Grade 5 TA6V titanium frame - satin finish, 'burnt' orange anodized
- phosphorous bronze washers with 'grease pockets'
- screws are precision machined stainless steel (heat colored to match the theme)
- the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel
- pivot has 'blue' finish aluminum countersunk washers.
- one off custom made thumb stud 'burnt' orange color to match the theme
- one off custom made milled solid titanium pocket clip

OAL - 7.87", Blade - 3.55"

I’m lucky enough to say that this knife is mine. Bogdan absolutely hit it out of the park. Showed it to a bunch of my fellow knife collecting buddies and all were amazed by the craftsmanship and thought that went into this. Can’t recommend Bogdan enough.
