Shirasaya Ti - 'true WORKHORSE' (SOLD)

Hello dear friends,

With God's good will today i present you another 'Shirasaya' - true WORKHORSE - full size, titanium frame lock folder - the 'Japan-ised' brother of the 'Skiagusta'

Built around a titanium 'core' this folder is a gorgeous cutter.

An aluminium/vanadium alloy, Grade 5 TA6V titanium offers an excellent compromise between mechanical strength, toughness and ductility hence it was the choice for the frame of the folder.
The detent ball is high quality ceramic for an ever lasting smooth action without deformations.

All screws are precision machined blackened steel, the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel so no wear in there even after prolonged years of use.
The blade slides on bronze washers with 'grease pockets'.

The blade is made using the high carbon W2 tool steel (beware it is not rustproof but you know me - i am the carbon steel guy ), with a high flat grind and stonewash finish. The blade comes razor sharp.

Shirasaya 'true WORKHORSE' features on short:

- W2 high carbon tool steel, stonewash finish (a beast blade)
- Grade 5 TA6V titanium frame - stonewash over longitudinal satin finish
- phosphorous bronze washers with 'grease pockets'
- screws are precision machined blackened steel
- the stop and pivot pins are hardened, precision ground 400c stainless steel
- one off custom made thumb stud - a2 stainless steel heat anodized to match the theme
- one off custom made milled cross cut solid titanium pocket clip
