Shirogorov Bearing Balls Diameter?

Heyo folks need to find out about the bearing balls on my Shirogorovs. Disassembled one to clean it and behold a single ball decided to evade me. Took a magnet all around but it was extremely elusive and got lost. First Not sure but do all Shirogorovs have same ball size diameter (not referring to rollers). The flipping is not affected at all as far as I can tell/feel but the OCD in me wants it perfect again.

Have the F3 and might even consider replacing them with ceramic balls if I can find the right size. Contacted Shirogorov directly and they can ship them to me but they will charge me for the parts and shipping from Russia its gonna be outrageous so probably not gonna want them shipped.

Could measure the normal steel balls but do not have a Vernier caliper tool to measure.

Any info would be appreciated.

Maybe ask them via instagram? For what it's worth, I would be bothered by it too.

see above

OK, I get it... I'm often the same way! haha

I just wanted to pass along that it REALLY does not matter, there are more bearings in almost every bearing knife produced than they actually need to function properly. I have seen several manufactures say so.

If I remember correctly my 95T has 14 on each side (28 total) and my F3 has 17 each side (34 total) and haven't checked my Neon but that one is MRBS as opposed to the other two are SRBS.

Honestly I would pic up some calipers. Its possible that multiple versions of each bearing system exist and thus different size ball bearings. My guess is going to be either 1mm or 1.2mm

Dont even know where to buy them except ALphaknife. Would hate it if i bough some and theyr werent the right size :(

Get a pair of cheap calipers and then try McMaster Carr. You can get a bag of 100 1mm precision steel balls made of hardened 52100 for $6.07.

If I get a bag like that it would have to be ceramic, just the way I roll. Besides I wont need a 100 if I can find the exact same size might just get like a small bag of 10 or so.

I bought 40 1mm Si Ni grade 5 ceramic bearing for 10 bucks shipped on ebay. Put them in my knife and they work great. You just need to get a set of calipers (they can be had cheap. Especially if you have a harbor freight tool store near you) and measure one.

Haven't googled it yet but do you happen to know the info on the ceramic ball bearings grades? Like the rating system and best grade?

grades run from 3-2000 the lower the number the better the grade. Grade 5 being the second best as grade 3 is the next best. In a knife many manufactures use grade 10 or even 25. With such small bearings and the minimal load you probably would never feel a difference but there is no shame at all in grade 3, 5 or 10 in a knife.

Tyvm saw it on alpha mentioning they were 10 so wondered what that meant in terms of grade.

For SRBS the ball bearings are 1.5mm.

I had lost a ball bearing myself. And replaced all of them with caremic balls.

Noticed that its not exactly 1.5 mm but rather 1.588mm same as alphaknifesupply which is much much cheaper of course slightly lesser grade but as recommended above G10 is more than sufficient. Might just get those 27 for 100ct as opposed to $1 a piece

I was looking to do this to my Neon Lite. For anyone that's done the ceramic ball bearing upgrade in their MRBS have they noticed any premature/extra wear on the titanium?
