Shirogorov Hati

I'm not sure if it is ok to write in the thread, but I can tell you in a private message (failed to understand how to write it to you), in a back reply.

Hey, I've been looking to get a shirogorov for a long time. Sent them an email but didn't get a response. Hopefully you can shed some light on this.
My email is burn_raven@hotmail.com
Hope to hear from you soon!

Unfortunately as I've found out, the Brothers will only distribute their knives through TNK, one from the USA cannot buy a knife directly from the SBI. Sorry, guys.

In regards to Winter Olympic Games 2014 in Sochi!

Beautiful knives. One of my favorite dealers (can't list name?) just listed some of these beauties. Grab them while you can!

Too bad none of them have the awesome mirror finish.

Just have question about ordering custom versions. Perhaps you could pm me or use the email function in my profile? I've sent an email to TNK....but still waiting for a reply. Cheers

It is was made with a new Custom Division established in April. Later on I will make a separate review for this knife.

New Hati Seashell with SilverTwill and 3D titanium scales and roller bearings inside is a great looking knife. Love to have one of those.

Absolutely gorgeous knives!
Dmitry you are a lucky man!
I have loved to see what's under the hood and I've seen nice work on them, precise machining and nice engineering design.
As far I live in Europe (the beautiful Italy) I found crazy buying a Russian knife from the US, pardon, Canada lol.
Don't you know if they will attend any West Europe exhibition?
Thanks you Dmitry for sharing

Man I've been considering selling my Hati because I can't bring myself to carry it. ...way to pretty! On one hand, owning such an incredible knife is fantastic. On the other hand it rarely sees the light of day! Sebenzas are my favorite knives for sure but when I compare my Sebs to my Shiro it's pretty clear that the Hati is the finer piece. I'm sure it could handle anything I could throw at it but I like my knives to look and feel like a tool. My Hati, in all of its perfection, looks and feels like so much more than a tool. The few times I have carried it have had a Sm Seb or a Strider PTCC along with the ride in case I actually need to cut something! That said, I don't think I can part with it! Strange.

I will not buy any russian knives and products. I would close bladeforums for russian IP and all the "putin" fans.

And if you think the US hasn't done basically the same thing that Russia has done in Crimea, you're sadly mistaken. Talk to people over there and get the real story, instead of listening to your biased news outlets.

You're missing out on some very very high quality blades.

I hear ya. I've got two hatis and I can't decide which one I like best. A vanax 35 black g10 with thumb serrations and a orange g10 s30v. Love them both. Also an f3 g10 with cronidur but it's thicker and doesn't carry as well. But much smoother.

Always a hard decision to make when I wanna carry one.

If you want to discuss politics, take it to the Political Arena forum. It has no place anywhere else on this site.

I've been interested in the Shirogorov knives for a while. When I had the money, they were no where to be found. I then started seeing them in the Exchange for over $900, I guess the price increased at some point almost over night. I do like them, but not for $900+.

Rev, which models are you interested in?

Wow, so much of discussion in these days here )))

First of all, I consider this forum beyong politics, here we have a great community of knife-makers, knife-users and collectors - shortly, ones who is keen on all that we call a knife, and it is the idea that has gathered us all here. I have my own opinion about politics of course but I'm sure this is not the right place to discuss. Let's respect each other.

Second thing, this Seashell Hati is truly a pearl of my collection, very precisely done in details and accurate in mechanics. I think I won't dare any hard use with it, blessing I got some other Shirogorov knives in simpler manifacture. For example, this Hati I carry 4-5 days per week and it suits me for all city EDC types of job.

And third thing, yes, in Russia it is not a very hard task to get one or two, still some of the knives I waited 6-9 months to be produced. The demand is much higher than the output and some rush still exists, still SBI informed that they enlarged their machinery equipment and it will lead for quicker demand satisfaction, I got no doubt about it. It will also effect the prices and are extremely high in positive way, as much of the prices are overсharged due to lack of offers.

As for the upcoming fairs, I will inquire and let you know soon.

Kind regards,
Dmitry
