Shirogorov?

I like their designs, and if you buy from TrueNorthKnives, I'm sure you'll be taken care of if you have any warranty problems.

I have the Hati 95. It really is a marvel. "Machining god" is honestly not far from the truth.

I'm just curious, do they all have the super strong detent? I've only seen videos of them on youtube and it seems like the only way to open it is to flip it out with what appears to be great force. I personally love slow flippers, and by that I mean ones that you can barely press on the flipper and the blade glides out slowly, but still locks up fully. My Whaleshark does that but it might be a combination of the heavy blade and bearing system.

Xiuxiu1313 did a review on the shigorov hati. it does have a very strong detent but that creates a very fast deployment.

In another video however, the detent ball broke off and got stuck in the detent hole on the tang of the knife! this is probably by virtue of the strong detent.

check his vids out if you're interested in shigorov knives. it'll certainly give you something to consider

This knife feels every bit as good as it looks

the detent and flipping is very similiar to an RJ Martin - which is to say its great. there are lots of nice machining touches throughout my Mod 95 that I wish other makers would use more.

I LOVE Shirogrov's. I have noticed they have been picking up a lot of traction latley on the forums which I am glad to see.

They're beautiful knives that feel extremely strong and could take a beating no questions asked, but they're just to pretty to do that to um ;).

I had a chance to handle one at a local knife shop that deals mainly in custom made knives. It was one of the models with what I can only describe as an Axis lock. It was beautifully smooth, very solid. If I had more money on me, I would have bought it, but as people have mentioned, they are quite pricey if you're the type that's concerned with such things.

With another piece of pocket candy I'm carrying today:

I almost pulled the trigger. Everyone's different though. Seven months might be a deal breaker. But BBQ and other guys I know lover their's. Including smokeater. I have been in love with the design forever though. BBQ Boy with you buying one now.....dang you! I am on the fence still. I heard they might make a smaller version. Like an 85?
HUH? I haven't bought one recently. I bought my Hati about a moth or so ago.

My knife selection is mostly Midtech, but these two fight over my attention the most.

Great minds think a like. I have been carrying one of these two off and on today. The SnG is CC on both sides.
