"shiv" dagger with redwood burl and hamon

that would make a wicked desk piece. A deadly letter opener. It looks dressy enough that you could display it on your desk at work, and no one would question it, but then you would have a super sweet dagger to hand.

It has the look of a Japanese Yari . Used by the japanese more then any other weapon. I am more then sure a buyer will emerge.

i meant to add.. when i asked if i could sell it.. it was kinda a "i wonder if that would work" kinda knife.. but i was working on other stuff too, so i didnt take ALL the scratches out and such... do you think i should sell it for less?
thanks
~Chris

I would answer simply.

Yes, it would sell.

Yes, it would work.

Personally I'd be interested in such a piece.

well i am thinking like 300 for it..
i am considering re-polishing it. should i do that before putting it up for sale?
thanks so much yall
~Chris

Very well done, Sir!
If you'd ask me, don't mirror polish it, I like the satin and antique look.

Chris if you sell that knife for 300 someone will be very happy..i think you should ask twice that myself..later Luke

hey!
thanks for the feedback! and i will have to see what i can do about a tutorial on the cap..
but i have decided i am going to repolish the blade (there are some scratches that are bugging me) and then put it up for sale in the 400 range.. i am still debating with myself.. because here is the truth.. i thought 300.. and told several people that.. then.. people i respected said "you should rally ask more like 400-450 for it" so then i am caught..
what do you think?
thanks so much
*in a quandry*

Very nice!, This one reminds me of Tanged leaf Arrow head.
with the amount of work you have into this I would charge about $420-460. that would be very fair price. if you make a nice sheath add about 80-90 to the price.
Keep up the good work!

The "Hamon King" strikes again!

Wow. When I saw the first picture, I thought, "Hmm, very nice." But Chris, being the tease that he is, didn't list the specs. Then I got to the 4th pic...

HOLY !@#%^&%$@!@#$!!!!

Where do you come up with this stuff? That is fantastic!

Keep up the good work, Chris. You other guys better start collecting now -- this is the future of knifemaking.

Ed

You really are inspiring Chris!

Keep 'em coming - AND CHARGE WHAT YOU'RE WORTH!!

hey there guys!
i repolished the knife and made a koa sheath for it.. it is now for sale in the "for sale" area (what would it be doing there!?)
thanks so much!
