• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Kismet turned me on to these little blades, so I bought a few and took a shot at them.

Because my shop is so hot right now, I decided to wrap these knives, as Ragnar suggested on his website.

These are the little "Shoemaker's" blades Ragnar advertises on his site.

I vinegar etched the blades, then wrapped them with various things.

Should make some nice little EDCs, just need to make some sheaths for them.

The wraps are soaked in superglue, then sanded.

Nice - I like the fat handled one. Is that all cord providing the bulk or do you have something under there to flesh out the wrapping?

The cord wrap and patina gives those knives a nice 'primitive' hunting knife like look. Very pleasant to the eye!

Liking them, Andy.

Not sure if they look primitive functional, or prison-yard shank effective. :)

GREAT little cobbler's blades, aren't they?

(define a "few", as in, "I bought a few.") :)

Thanks! There are shims under the wraps on the thicker handled knives.
