Fire Arms, INIF, and Wine! Seems like you have a well stocked room there.

Congratulations on the shooting season!

Regards,

Nick

Dear Santa, I want an XXXL NICK, Some Busse Grips for my 1911, one of the AMY-O Chef's knives......Signed Nick.....P.S. I have been very good this year.

Whoa... I don't have any idea what all your medal say, but for you to win them with that rifle is impressive enough! Unless by old faithful you were reffering to your stock piles of Vino! What caliber is that? I'm only assuming that 6.5 Swede would be apropriate! You make it to the states, get in touch and we'll go burn some powder!

Its 7.5 X 55 Swiss, the old military round which the army replaced by GP90 (5.56 Nato) when we changed to the SIG550 allault rifle. The wine....ah well the wine....what can I say ? ;)

Porkus--Wow!! That is SOME shooting! Congratulations, and let me know when you're ready to open some wine!! :D

A girl needs a knife...

Porkus, what groups are you getting at 100m?

That PE 57 looks brand new.

awesome....is your secret to shooting well, having a bottle beforehand?

makes you steady. remember, breath, hold, shoot.
:D

We shoot at 300 meters only, no scopes allowed, military rifles only. On good days I get 9's and 10's. The 10 is a 2 1/2 circle so I try for 5 inch groups but I guess some are as tight as 3 or 4". We never see the results on the target but rather on a screen because they are electronic targets and the results show as a number between 0 and 10 or 0 and 100. 100 is dead centre and you can win money when you get them. I got four 100's this year. Helped pay for my need ! :D

With open sights thats very good:thumbup:

What is the medal for with the "007" symbol on it???  ;)

Every year for the last 63 years the young people of my area organise a festival and one of the highlights is a match. One of the targets of the match was this cow and the bullseye was somewhere ...well in the centre of the cow. Out from 300 meters it did'nt look much like a cow though ! Just aimed for the black ! I live in the French speaking part of Switzerland but I like to travel all over to participate and help keep our traditions alive.
Thanks for all the comments Hogs !

Congrats on the great shooting:thumbup:

I'm OK with a good bench and high powered Leupold, but I can't even see 10" circle at 300 yds with iron sights. Mighty fine shooting Charles!

One minute of angle at 300 yards on a military rifle with open sights is better than good--it's friggin' AWESOME!!!

Confirmed! That is 'gifted' shooting -- well beyond the range of what I expect from even a very well trained soldier.

Congratulations, young man. You must have steady nerves to go with all that experience.

Keep 'em heading downrange... :D

EDIT: Like my friend Ken, I can no longer make out that small a target at that range. Oh well, life is change...
