I think the title sums this up.
My AK arrived today, apparently after a short stop over for a customs inspection.
What can I say, I have a pair of GH Khukuris (Bhojpure and WW2 - which are excellent knives BTW) but this makes them look like pocket knives by comparison -- its huge.
not so much in length but the sheer width and weight of the blade.
This is also my first 'real' HI Khukuri, not counting my now dwarfed Villager. This was a special order I got off Bill with an inscriprion on the blade, the quality of the workmanship and finish is excellent.
Funnily enough this Khukiru feel like it has been made for me, it just sits in my hand and becomes part of my arm, for all is weight and size it just feels "alive". The handle is a perfect fit, unlike my other khuks' this one will not need any work or re-shaping.
I can't stand the wait before I can get out bush and give it a try. Hopefully this weekend.
Andre
P.s. Bill, the first payment is on its way.
