Well, I am on the downhill side of having a shop again. I have to finish the insulation tonight, hang lights and I plan to get the work surfaces in this weekend........wont be long now :)
This time I am making the grinder benchtop just large enough to hold my drill press and grinder. Last time it was an 8 foot wide surface and the 4 foot ment to be used as a work area was always covered in to much dust to use. This time I am detaching that from the grinders surface and moving it over so I can actually use it and keep it clean....ogh...cleaner!

Not yet. I'll get some when it looks like something :) I can already tell that the insulation is helping take the blistering heat down to a smoldering one :)

I am stapeling heavy plastic over the walls and ceiling and cutting my outlets out. I will have pegboard over about 1/3rd of the walls or so. I hope that will work pretty good for me :)

I bite the bullett on mine and drywall the walls and ceiling by myself.
Sanding and painting this week-end. Looks great, but one tough job working by your self.
Glad I did it now, but would not wish that job on anyone!

hell...I thought the plastic was bad enough :)
Good for you!

I am using unfinished luan paneling which will be painted with a semigloss paint for easier cleanup (I hope).

I hope I dont regret the plastic but this seemed to be an easy way to hold the insulation in place and still be able to get to my studs if I need to. When I get an AC in there I'll just cut out a section frame for the ac then replace insulation and plastic.

I'll stick up some more pegboard over time.

I think I will need a lot to get this ready.

Mark, I assume that that the outhouse is just south of the blackberry canes? Let me know when you are settled in and I will try to drop in for the grand tour. My present car is a gas sipper so I can go places again! My very best to you and Deb! ---Sandy---

Dear Daddy'o

You are formost on the list of folks we want to come see us. I think you will be pleased with our choice of where to put down roots.

I hope the electric company will let me run power up there. :)
