At times I've been on a first name basis with the ER Dr. so I thought about setting up a shop specifc first aid kit vs the basic whatever stuff in the bathroom.
What do you all keep?
I'm thinking Butterfly bandages, tweezers , some sort of sterile wash , compression bandages with wrap.
What else are must haves ?

Band-aids, tweezers and an old mirror that helps if I get something in my eye

Bandaids, alcohol, and plenty of paper towels are always nearby. I keep plenty of alcohol and peroxide in the bathroom as well as gauze if needed.

So far my worst cuts have come by pushing my thumb into the metal cutting bandsaw. Yes, I said cuts because it happened twice (Can someone scream PUSH STICK!). Both times it only cut about 1/4" into the tip of my thumb but the first time it happened I had just sprayed the bearings with WD-40 and got plenty of it and metal shavings deep in the cut. I had my wife pull the cut open so I could scrub it with a toothbrush dipped in alcohol. In case you are wondering, yes, it hurt plenty! The second time I was cutting micarta and it wasn't as nasty. Now it cuts the push stick!

Bandaids, eye wash bottle, mirror, small NIB magnet, tweezers, superglue, a small Aloe Vera plant in a pot, alcohol, benedryl. Superglue for small cuts, aloe vera plant for burns (snap a leaf off and rub it on the burn), benedryl for any allergic reactions to wood, spiders, etc, and alcohol for when I sit my butt down after hurtin myself! Oh, the magnet is for pulling steel outta cuts and eyes.

I'd suggest something to flush your eyes out with... I get more crap in my eyes cleaning up than I do working on stuff... probably because I take the eye protection off when I'm done, and wear normal specs to clean....

Betadine is better than peroxide. Peroxide kills all the bad stuff but it also kills the good tissue around the wound. Also, a pressure dressing isn't a bad idea. You can never be too prepared. Silk tape, 2x2 gauze, 4x4 gauze. I have a cat tourniquet in mine but thats just in case. Stay safe.
