Shop Layout Question Round 2

How often will you drain the water out of an air compressor that you have to leave the room to get to? Really truly?

My compressor is in adjacent shed. Being a cheapskate I dont have an automatic trap. Its water trap is on a pullstring what gets pulled each time the lights are switched off.
