Dan Koster style. I had my FIL make up this block and drill it out ala DK. Who is of course the man! You can see I'm 5 knives away from a really long heat treat day!!

The new model, I've got 3 ground out of 5/32 01. Guys, for some reason I'm stumped on what to call this knife. Wanna help me out?

It'll look like this one (left) when finished, but its thicker steel!

I'm finally about to put a handle on the Gaucho Knife too.

Sweet set up Andy.

I've been using that 1 off for awiles now, but I'm haven't even had my irst cup of coffee yet. I'll try to help out with a name when I can function more later.:o

Wow, just freakin' Wow! I really like that sheath on the right in the 4th pic.
I love your laminates Bro. I'm gearing up to do more of that on my furniture making. I'm in the middle of a door rebuild with solid Mahogany and glass, an 8' glue up last night. Not near as impressive as your handles.:o

As far as names, all I could think of is spider names for some reason.;)

Wolf Spider
Huntsman Spider
Apache Recluse
Jumper (my favorite spiders)

well, that's all I got. But thought I'd throw them out there.

BTW, very cool and functional looking blade.

great looking stuff andy... i really like the looks of that gaucho knife...

Purpleheart finishes up fine. Its a PITA because its hard as hell and burns really badly. What troubles are you having?

burning on my bandsaw to start with. And it seems to dull blades faster than ipe! I haven't got it on a knife yet, but if it burns like osage does I'll go really gentle and slow.

Name the knife after your dog you posted pics of.

cause, yes, its that awesome.;)

That gaucho is sweeeeet bro.

Lookin' good Andy, that big one is a neat looking blade for sure. Names I think of for it... Trekker, Swiftfoot, Solo, Breeze. Random, huh? It's like a WSS version of word association. :D

Even worse than Osage.

Hey Andy - great looking knives. That knife block is sweet!

Nice pics, thanks for posting.

Hector 81. Hmm. I dunno.

Backwoods Ginsu - you can cut a tin can with it! Seriously, that new design (and the Gaucho for that matter) looks like it would be great in the kitchen.

Backwoods Ginsu. Thats cool. I wonder if I'd get sued for that...
