Shop pics -- Let's see 'em

Danbo; Damn you can barely walk in there never mind making knives.
L6 the cabinet is from HF and it came with the film sheets for the cover. The only time I use my pin press is when I put solid damascus on the tang.   :D :D

Trick it's Jonsered :) I'm a dealer for them
I get lookers all the time looking for old parts.
:D

Trick and Dan,
I have an old Homelite XL12 I need a sprocket and sprocket bearing for! :D I'm serious!!!

Will post pictures tomorrow of da' shop.

Craig

Craig, I promise he has those parts. Most of the saws are homelite's. I will see him tomorrow and ask him and get back with you. I am sure he wouldn't want much for the parts if he does have them.

Graymaker, thanks for the spell check. :D Those are his favorites. Sachs, Husky's and Jonsered's. I think he has more husky's than anything. Anyway, I have a bunch of junk and bent bars, do they make good knives? (Brings it back to being on topic sort of. Sorry Burchtree :))

Dan: Seriously (unusual) since I have been teaching our new members (Paul & Mike) the shop is staying pretty clean. Except for the Skunk.

Criag
if you want used see if Trick has it if you want new let me know.

Trick PM me with your address phone # ecct. and I'll strore it for later. you got any 254's and 262's ? :)

IG I think Paul D needs their e-mails :( you making them clean?:D

Craig,
Yea, dad has 'em, but he said they are pretty cheap new and you would probably want that new.? His are used. So maybe you should get a hold of Graymaker. Now if you would happen to have some scrap ivory laying around big enough to make an acoustic guitar nut and saddle out of, I will do some kind of trading. :D If you want used parts, give me a shout. But I sure don't want to take any business away from Graymaker. I was not aware that he was a dealer before I posted all that stuff.
Graymaker,
pm on the way.
Ric

Ric
don't worry about me,:)
I've been getting out of the business
and been going full time Knives the last two years
(about time after going on 30 years part time making)
I mostly do online stuff with the saws now.
I love making knives and that's what I do :)
now, enough to call full time anyway now.
I do just enough to maintain my dealer ships.:)

HEHEHE!!! Sure in hell is. You don't even have to open the doors and you can smell it.  :D :D
Hey Peter, in the other picture I bet you are the one on his knees.:p :p
PS: Nice outfit too.:barf: :barf:

Here's a couple of poor shots. I can't post any better at the moment, my computer is barely limping along.

I'm waiting for a new hard drive, that should be here by Wednesday. :(

That's just Disgusting Mike! :barf:
Where are the Cigarette butts, empty beer cans to put the cigarette butts in, old sandpaper, grinding dust, gun parts, blocks of scrap wood....how can you work in that kind of clean and neat.:footinmou

You know...that's pretty neat too. Where are the failed knives. They should be all over the floor!:D

Well, finally got a few pics. Hope I don't bore you too much. Amazing how I think my stuff is so interesting when it's not (my knife collection is very like the dreaded neighbor's vacation slides from the 50s... ), so forgive me or flame me as you see fit. :D

Grinder bench. A good place any time of day!

BFShop1003-02.jpg

Platens! Now I need to add a 24" wheel somehow...

BFShop1003-04.jpg

My "low" bench. Mostly do epoxying and parts cleaning here.

BFShop1003-08.jpg

My "high" bench. I'm pretty tall, most visitors remark how high it is. On the right is a slab of slate from an old pool table - works great for sanding and as a surface for measuring from. But it sucks the heat out of a cup of coffee almost instantly! I do most of my work on the left side. Benchtop drill press camoflaged among stuff in the back.

BFShop1003-01.jpg

Machine bench. Note the pink dental cabinet underneath - lots or room for parts!

:D :D :D
