As much as I hate to admit it Andrew is right. I burn up more time looking for the tool that just dissapeared into a pile of stuff on my workbench than I do working on the knife in front of me. If I want to use a machine I have to clear the stuff from around it and clean it first. If the shop were clean and organized when I got one of those golden hours to work on knives(instead of putting in overtime at the office or working on the car or painting the house, etc. etc. etc.) I could actually work on knives rather than standing in the middle of my shop scratching my head wondering where the scribe I just had went to.
Great shop by the way! Organization holds off the effects of chaos also. I need to grit my teeth and the next time I have a Saturday to work on knives I'm going to totally clean up the shop. Of course I will have to find the broom and dustpan first. Oh and where did I put those....oh hell, just give me a beer.
