I know I can't be the only one limited on space. I'm to the point where I realize I need clean space and dirty space. How have you layed out the garage to keep the areas separate? I'm in the middle of building a rolling island that will be designated for dirty tools such as my grinder, buffer, drill press, and portable bandsaw. I haven't mounted anything to the bench yet as I'm trying to figure out which works best and still cleaning and organizing everything. Since bench space is at a premium in small shops, do you shape and hand sand in the dirty or clean area? Thanks

I keep everything on mobile carts/stands and roll out the dirty operations as you really dont want that dust on everything in the garage.

I've done it completely wrong so far... but the next one will be different. I have everything in one garage boldted to benches built around it along with everything that goes in a garage and absolutely everything in my shop is covered in dust and shavings, from my lawnmower to my summer car. My next shop has to be a separate area or at least a double car garage with something to separate it like a heavy duty curtain from ceiling to floor, and ideally a dirty room where i do the grinding and milling. All comes down to money i guess, and there's never enough of it.
