Hey guys.

So, I was thinking tonight I wanted to start a youtube type video review channel.
Im thinking of calling it shop talk as I do most of my reviews out there, but I wanted to see what you guys thought.

Ill have a few videos up tonight for you guys, and hopfully it will go somewhere.
So, what do you think of the name? has a ring to it or what?

First one:

sounds like a neat idea. would this be for all the WSS guys who make videos or just for reviews?

Thats not a bad Idea, we could all pitch in, Having videos is nice, gives you some real life reference.
 
If we are going to make a go of this, we should have some "helps" for people to make good videos. Fonly, I didn't watch your's because I don't have speakers on the computer I'm on right now, but one thing I don't like about some of the videos on youtube, is that they are almost always way to long. A 5 minute video that could have been over and done with in 1 minute.

Also, maybe we could come up with a list of tasks to perform for knife reviews, to provide some type of ability to compare. A lot of us do similar things, but if we were all on the same page it seems like that might be helpful, video or just regular review.
 
Killer idea ... I would much prefer to watch our forum members videos rather than some random "unknown" person. Hopefully it would contain different types of survival gear reviews and not just knives as there are plenty of those on youtube as it is.

Your videos are a good starting point.
 
i have a couple basic sharpening videos up as it is, if you want we could add those to the channel...i'm planning on making some more that go into more detail...

That sounds like a good Idea. Im not %100 percent sure on how to start this exactly, buy Ill look into it more.

Thats something else too, having diffrent packs, cooking sets, various other tools, boots, tarps, fire starters, premade firstaid kits, things like that.
