Haha, that drill bit is stuffed !
I looked at a discount store and found a drill bit set. It was apparantly high speed steel, but the bits were not sharpened. I got the feeling they would struggle to drill through wood.
Although in my local hardware store, there are two bulk packs of drill bits for sale. Redline (generic made in China drill bits) for 2.95 and Sutton (the "Rolls Royce" of drill bits according to the sales guy) for 20.95. I bought a pack of both, and the cheaper drill bits actually perform alright, even comparable to the Sutton ones.
