Shop Tip for TW-90 surface grinder

The TW-90 surface grinding attachment works great, but it throws horizontal sparks. I made this vacuum set up to catch the sparks. The hood is plastic and woodworking supply places sell it. I hooked my exhaust hose to the hood, and it catches most of the sparks. From the pictures you can see how it is set up.

I set up an old easel with one of those big sheet steel trays you get at auto zone in the same spot. It catches most of the dust and drops it straight down where it is swept up later. Not saying it's the best way but it's what I have and it works for me. Yours is a nice set up.
