Lots going on her at FF this week!! This first pic is the knives I've gotten to rough grind out of 440C. Let me tell you guys how much I am enjoying using 440C!! A Lot! AND, the makers I've spoken to in the last week or so all feel the same about this steel. It has gotten a bad rap for no good reason. Anyway...

The Sandoku is made from 1/8" thick stock, and the others are 0.190" thick. The knives in this pic are just past the rough grinding. There are several belts to go.

Handle materials are all ready too:

I'm so happy to know I can do this! Now, can I repeat it?!

In this pic, lots of new models, (L to R) Snubby, Whitler, Sandoku, Tal's Spearpoint, Ladyfinger variant, and Joe's Terrasaur.

The new breakdown handle glueup station!! This really helps keep the bench clear, which is great, because a clear bench can actually be used!

Your knife is the Ladyfinger variant shown above!! The guard is gone as requested, and to compensate for that the blade is a smidge wider edge to spine. I really like how this has turned out, and plan to make a pattern from this knife!

440c is as good as ats34 imho, great seeing you using that andy, nice new desings

That Ladyfinger variant looks very promising (I may have to change my order again!) :o

Can't wait to see it finished and perhaps a comparison photo next to a regular Ladyfinger.

The Lady Finger variant looks awesome! As well as the Whittler. Nice work, I look forward to seeing those knives finished.

Hopefully that happens by the end of next week!

Excellent! Those look great. Go Braves! The Sandoku will let folks buy some nice gifts for NKP.

aaaah man Andy.. this knife is coming out bad ass... nice work.. 440c is great steel, i have always liked it..:)
i would love to pick a nice custom kitchen knife one of these days...

i like the looks of a few of those new models... i can't wait to see your rendition of the Terrasaur... that Whitler looks cool too...

That kitchen knife is sweet, Andy. I can't wait to see the finished product. You are doing an awesome job on it. I'm just as excited as you thinking about that blade - I think I finally have found a good design to replace my current Santoku.

Tell me about the stubby design. Reminds of the Bow Legged Belt Knife.

Check into the "Calling out Rick Marchand" thread. You can learn a lot about that stubby in there. Basically though, the handle is WAY bigger than the BLBK.

I was checking out Santokus at the mall the other day. I think a 4" would be one heck of a knife! Those little kitchen knives are really cool designs. That variant looks GREAT!
