Hello everybody,

Been a while since I was on here.

Wendy and I have moved and all my stuff has been packed away.

I started trying to put some kind of shop together. It is nothing like my old shop...just a small skid type shed.

I figured since it is empty now I get the fun of starting from scratch.

One thing I will have to have is some way to keep the grinder dust from polluting the whole tiny space.

I know I need something that is big enough to create a negative atmosphere to keep the grits and dust going down the pipe instead of into the atmosphere.

I am leaning toward some type of squirrel cage type blower...with maybe a 3 or 4 inch metal duct...

And I will need some kind of trap for HOT bits of steel to be exstinguished...

Anyobody got a good set up...pics would help me undestand how it works....

Hey Shane,

Here are some threads about ventilation and filtration. I'm sure there are even more, but this could be is a good start.

All the best, Phil

I doubt anyone will think this (or any) question is a dumb one. Health and safety are paramount! As the old saying goes, the only dumb question is the one that's not asked.
