Shopping from JUST the picture , then complaining !

Took me 5 seconds of Google-foo to find out what's it's made of Lol. I Googled " What is Griv-Ex" Thats it! People are getting stupider and Lazier than Ever . They walk around with a computer linked to the internet for god sake . Serves them right then and it is a cheap lesson as long as they don't do it again o_O. Looks like a dangerous little toy but I bet "It Will Kill"

Using small words : My thread here is meant to be defined and limited to those who order a knife based solely on the ad photo spread and then complain in their reviews because they expected the knife to be other than received . They did NOT bother to read the specs , written ad copy or other reviews etc . They do not accept their responsibility for being disappointed .

And you know they have only looked at the photo how? Again, you have read specs, bought a knife, and not found it to be what you expected. Is it not possible that they have done the same?

As I said earlier, I wouldn't complain about getting a knife that didn't match my expectations....here's my post again, perhaps you need to reread it and think it over a little more:

Without hands on experience with a knife, you never know if it is going to suit you, having read the specs or not.

I wouldn't complain about a knife I bought online feel unfelt, as it were, but the whole thing is inherent in buying from an online dealer.

Some people complain. Some people complain about people who complain.

I just don't see how you are coming to the conclusion they are merely jokers who have not read the specs when a knife they have bought is "...too large and heavy , small , ..." when you have read specs and done the same thing.

Seems like they deserve the benefit of the doubt.

Oh well.

I understand that you love to parse and find fault with everything , but did you follow the link to Knifecenter and read the reviews I was specifically referring to ?

Its the culture that Amazon and Ebay have created. Teaching consumers to not read ads, and that its ok to use defamation in your reviews and even lie, especially if its going to get you a discount.

To me, reviews like that are not helpful at all, as they don't let me know what type of service or product I will be getting.

Its why I don't generally even use things like Yelp, or amazon or ebay or any of the sort for reviews..mostly its just people fuming over their own mistakes.

Yup. No doubt you have assumed I am a "joker" who hasn't.

.....Other such issues involve a knife too large and heavy , small , from a bad country or materials etc etc .

Obviously , these jokers are ordering based solely on the ad photo spread and can't be bothered to even scan the specs let alone perform due diligence on researching .

People, like them, and I, and you, have bought knives online and found them to not be quite what we expected.

I just don't automatically assume when someone other than me does it, it is because they "...can't be bothered to even scan the specs let alone perform due diligence on researching."

I guess we just have a difference of position on that one. What're you gonna do, I guess.

So you think it's understandable that the CS bali , whose prime selling feature is being non-metallic should receive these extremely negative 2 of 5 star reviews because the knife is indeed plastic - exactly as described ?

Yeah , we definitely disagree ! o_O

And the ones who find a knife too heavy and large, or small that you were talking about? They did not read the specs?

I'm speaking ONLY to those reviews in which this is obviously the case .

I've spent years researching knives that have still been surprising in hand / actually use . Most recently : Cold Steel Frenzy 3 . Out of box pocket friendly !:thumbsup::thumbsup:

This is pointless. You want to assume when others don't get the knife they expect, it's because they didn't do due diligence...go ahead.

"Made entirely of Griv-Ex and other strategic non-metal materials" and "a marvel of injection molding" In the description should have rung some bells and the knife specs were right under the pic in plain sight. Sounds like a combination of laziness and or buyers remorse on the unhappy reviewers part but what could you expect for $12 bucks. This knife was made for SD and slipping thru metal detectors as one reviewer stated and most of us here probably figured out. Seems to me like you would have a lot of splaneing to do if you ever got caught with one

Back when I would buy things on fleabay, I might get something that I wasn't expecting precisely > either the item or the condition..... I re-read the seller summary and in most cases there is no deliberate deception. I just read or saw what I wanted to see. So, goes hobbies.....

Pretty much the way I feel about it. I seldom complain about a knife I purchased online. I prefer to buy at a brick & mortar knife store..online/brick&mortar runs about 50/50 yearly. Fortunately, I have several choices including KnivesShipFree in my area. I try to stay away from KSF store unless I am actually in the market for something.... too many nice toys for sale to tempt me.

No, I don't feel it is right to complain about something purchased online if it is what it says it is. This is one of the reasons I seldom buy clothing online unless it is from some place like Duluth Trading.... just don't want junk by mistake if I can help it.
