Shops in Helsinki

Hi,

I've stucked for a moment in Helsinki and wonder where can find a place with nice knives. Does anyone have an idea?

Cold!? it's practically summer here if you compare this to what it could be at it's worse.

All are within (my) walking distance from the center.

Fishing store Schroeder - in same block as Galleria Art but by Unioninkatu. They have some custom puukkos and better folders - Ti-nives and some others. Actually if you have lost of money they have the cheapest full SS dam tinives that I've seen - 1000 euros (price that I've seen in USA is 1000$).

You can find rare Spydercos like TiNi-coated worker etc. in street level at Kaisaniemi subway station. It has mainly fantasy etc POS knives but also some interesting - discontinued (= cheaper than normally in Finland) models.

Department Store Stockmann has/had some custom puukkos in their souvenir department 4th or 5th floor.

There used to be a small shop In Old market hall that sold better puukkos. They had wootz Rosellis...

Gallery art has web page. JT Pälikkö is a custom maker that forges his puukkos, swords... in Suomenlinna (Viapori) Fortress in Helsinki. I don't have any of his knives but I've handled and they are great. http://www.kp-art.fi/jtkl.html

Thanks for replys. I'll try this contacts this afternoon and report tomorrow. BTW Suomenlinna is great place but a little bit to windy for my ears.
