Got a little warmer here yesterday so took a little walk in a area I hunted in years ago.Road has kind of turned into a 4x4 truck path, there were some pretty deep rut's down farther.Took a couple knife pic's.Gathered up a bunch of birch bark that was peeling off the tree's.Couple pic's of "Taz" and he actually went into the water.

used some of the birch bark and some dried weed's and grass to light a small fire.

Great looking dog, Im missing my staff... R.i.P july 2002

is the knife a gossman? just wondering, cause the 01 stamp brings similarities..

Posted a close up pic of the knives in the "post your steel collection" below, wouldn't let me post it again here so had to put the pic with my mug in here.

just got the Laconico on Friday so this was the first time out and it is one sweet knife.

Great pics Dennis!

Nice looking dog you have there.

Is that your Bushcrafter in the fire pic? Looks great:thumbup:, I can't believe the one in the Knifemaker foresale forum hasn't sold yet:confused:
You did a great job with that flamed Osage, and a matching firesteel to boot:cool:

Glad the weather warmed a bit, its nice to get out eh:thumbup:

Its funny that everyone notices your pup first. But he is a cool looking pup and seem to have a blast . Oh yea a nice knife too...

Nice pics there. Love how the dog is just staring in the picture with the ruts.

It is calling out the camera

I always like fire starting pics. Growing up in N. Ontario, fire starting with birch bark was just a given. Never really considered anything else, until I moved here to S. Ontario and the only birch trees you come across are ornamentals in peoples yards. We have to work a bit harder to find the fluff and flame extenders around here :D

A man, his dog, his knives. A walk in the bush. A small fire lit. Contentment.
Back home and share with friends. Life is good. Thanks for sharing.

cool pics Dennis... great looking dog too man.. i need to pick up one of your bushcrafters soon...:D
