Got out for a short hike yesterday evening at the Branched Oak area NW of Lincoln. Didn't get too far, but the scenery was great. First off, here's a few knife pictures.
First, a production OD Green Izula. Nice light little knife, fits in the front pocket just right. Been carrying this one all week.
Izula with my most used outdoors knife, my Breeden wharny.
I'm starting to be able to produce fuzz sticks that I can show to the public. The wharny cuts wood like butter and is very comfortable. The Izula requires a bit different grip for me, and it didn't cut as well, but I haven't reworked the edge to my liking either. For a scale-less neck knife, I thought the Izula did great, though.
Started a little fire just for kicks
Almost forgot that my prototype Izula was in my backpack. Time for family pictures! I had Bryan Breeden convex the edge on the proto a while back and it cuts like crazy. It's also a bit thicker and I think a bit more comfortable in hand than the production version.
Spine shot for the curious
Will be posting scenery pictures as soon as I get them uploaded. You'll want to see these, the sunset was amazing!
