Nice shots Jay, looks like the same landscape we have over here. How old do you recon that stone shelter is?

Its pretty old. The thing has a new roof on it though. This is bothwell state historical site. There is a huge mansion on the bluff, and all these slave quarters scattering the landscapes, that was one. Its a cool place to hike....

The one in the third pic is another one we came across, its not the same a the first one.

Thats pretty cool bro. Do they allow you to camp in those shelters?

No campin, gates close at dark. That would be sweet though!! They also have tours of the mansion, its really quite impressive. The thing is massive!!!

Thanks mike. Those are the only 2 I own. Chuddybears makin me a black leather sheath for the GW w/ a firesteel loop, and snap retention. Ill post pics when it arrives...

The sar5 is an awesome knife. I like no guard, and only 3/16 thick INFI. Good size too, not to big.

Yea, the only complaint I have on the Sar5 is that the handle is almost too bulky. Which sounds wierd coming from my mouth, but man, its a big fat handle. Eventually, I plan to take a grinder to mine.:D

andy-
Post pics of your mod when your done man. Id like to see that. It is a big handle. I have long fingers so it fits me perfectly. Maybe too long though. 3/4 in out of the handle wouldnt hurt....

Great pics, I like that stone hearth. Looks like we're all getting a piece of the heat, it was 113 here yesterday, and is only a couple degrees lower today :grumpy:

:eek::eek: I don't know how you guys out there do it

It's a dry heat. 115 is hot....but it is not as horrendous as 94 degrees with 90 percent humidity. :barf:

Tell that to the acres of forrests that burn down every year out there, I don't think they would mind a little humidity:D
