Very short, fat knife.


OAL: 5 1/2 inches
Blade: 2 1/2 inches
Handle: Ash

Blade is 1080 steel, full quench and temper, 1/8 inch thick. High taper grind, convex, with a stropped finish. Finish on the blade flats is forge finish rubbed down to 600 grit. Thumb ramp has an increasing curve towards the front for a little extra stoppage on the ball of the thumb.

Handle is 7/8 inch thick, 3/4 to 1 1/8 broad, well rounded. Handle material is ash crotch wood, linseed oil soaked with a briwax finish on top. Pins are 1/4 inch brass.

Sheath is a Ranger style pouch model, with the belt loop attached to the horizontal strap, no stitching through the sheath body.

it also looks like it's gone :D HAve to make more, once I'm done with the stead knives, and the moving thing
 
I really like the fat handles on short ones- even a two finger grip really gets more comfortable to use with the mass to grip around.

And it's paid and off to a new home
