Short In-Pocket Fixed EDC?

Well, I was gonna bring up Bark River, but about 50 people beat me to it...
The Bumble Bee is my favorite for pocket carry. It comes in just under 6", and has really unique geometry. The Bravo necker would also be a good choice, although I actually prefer the Izula for its ergonomics.

Thanks for those. I went through them all!

I was really surprised that the Barkie Little Creek was actually a tad shorter than the Mini-Canadian (which I own) but with a much thinner blade profile. Very nice.

I am also surprised at how few people seem to think the Izula is worth mentioning. ha ha. There should be an Izula fan club or something.

So, is there a knife with an Izula blade profile, but with a nice thinly-scaled handle? I really like the shape of the blade. The Mini-Canadian has a lot of belly on it, and I think I prefer the pointier shape of the Izula. I guess I'm surprised that I don't see a lot of Izula's modded to have scales put on them...in orange!

The new Barkie necker is great, but too long for my tastes. I'm thinking more like the Mini-Canadian's OAL or a bit shorter. Am I dreaming?

Anyway, thanks for the links. I have much to consider.

The Izula with a cord wrap is thin and light. Not to mention affordable. I came up with this sheath idea that can be hooked to the top of your pocket when the knife is in use for easy reinsertion when you're ready to drop it back down in the pocket. The convenience of a pocket folder with the strength of a fixed blade.

Get a Pocket Medicine from Ray Kirk. here's the link to it:

Ray Kirk's Website

I've got the first one he made as I asked him to make a pocket version of his medicine knife. It's a great little knife.

CKE Knives, i.e. Craig Wheatley. He posts (username is CKE2) and sometimes sells his little pocket/neck knives here on BF. Very good prices. Excellent pocket knives... that's how I carry them.

They make scales for the izula now. They are about $16.00 shipped which is a great deal.

Check out the Blind Horse Knives web site. The have some excellent knives to fit what you've described.

I really appreciate the utility of small fixed blades, but because of my big paws, I rarely find any that are comfortable. Although not to your specs, I really like my new BHK boat tail scandi. A little bit more to your liking, my Gossman PSK and micro Kephart are both great knives, and the PSK sees most of my knife use.

I sometimes carry my Ed Chavar "fang" in ATS-34, w/G-10 scales. Simple kydex sheath pops off with the thumb. Sorry for crappy cell phone pic, wifey has the camera.

Not the first to suggest it, but I'm amazed it hasn't been mentioned more.

Razel?

My CRKT Ringed Razel is about the most useful knife I've ever owned, just because it does things other knives can't with that 90-degree chisel edge.

Well, the Izula with scales is mighty nice:

But I'm thinking that it's just a hair too long. I do like that it would be thin, pointy, and not bad looking. The more tacticals don't flip my switch at all (Izula is almost too "tactical" looking for me.)

As an OT, I love Morris' friction folders. And more on topic, his Torpedo with the snap sheath is pretty cool.

Lots to look at so far. Great suggestions of things I didn't know existed!

Chewy1, I'm surprised you think the Bark river Bravo necker is to long. It's a very small and light knife. I highly recommend it with scales.
