short shortsword

I'm new here. What's a smatchet? (ducks)

And why is a Leaf shaped blade so efficient?

Great thread. I love it here already. And I need one of those short leaf shaped blades. They must be the bomb!

I Just had this knife made for me by Chris at Scorpion Bows and Knives. It's not a Smatchet by any means at all. It is a short, short sword with a leaf blade design as I told him I do not want a smatchet but I do want a short leaf blade designed knife.
Chris hand made this to my specs at a very reasonable price. It has a very old ancient charm to it, sort of like holding a nice full wood stock rifle instead of the tacticool stuff.

Made of 5160 Steel a quarter inch thick, Ten and a half inch blade, Sixteen and a quarter inches in over all length. I haven't tested or tried cutting anything with it yet, I'm still in the shock and awe phase and just like holding right now.

Chris was even kind enough to take a few pictures of the knife for me while he was making it.

An excellent person to deal with.
