I love the squid. It's my every day carry. The Spew, not so much. One of those why did I buy this but I'll keep it or maybe trade it to someone for something useful. The BOKER I like, it's more of a neat little back up. Saw a BOKER ceramic that was razor sharp and awesome looking but I pictured myself dropping it and anyways that's not an edc blade. But jeez was it sharp!

What don't you like about the spew? Almost grabbed one today. Looking for a small fixed blade.

Best small fixed blade I own is my Brous Silent Soldier Ranger. This is an AMAZING little knife. Because of the handle shape it fits extremely small but has a nice blade length and is fairly thick so it can handle some rough work. The D2 steel is great. The grind on it is really good so it cuts very well despite being fairly thick at the spine. It is so tiny in its sheath you can easily fit it in the little pocket on your jeans. The little one that sits just above/in the right front pocket. Not only that but it can be worn knuckle duster style or even standard grip as a great little self defense knife. It is sort of like a Fred Perrin La Griffe beefed up enough to make it good for utility tasks.
In fact any of the Silent Soldier models are excellent neck knives. I cannot recommend them more.

The steel sucks. Not very sharp out of the package. I tried putting a edge on it, it's better but not to we're I like it. In hindsight I should have passed it over.

That's good to know. I wasn't really familiar with that steel and seemed questionable. I guess I will continue my search. Thanks for the info.
