I forged this one out a while ago because I wanted to try it. I don't make a lot of dagger style knives because it is like making two knives at once. This one turned out better than I expected. It is forged 1075 steel with a nice hamon running down the center of it. I tried to capture it in pictures but I couldn't get it all at once. This thing feels light in the hand and is a lot of fun to swing around.
The blade is forged 1075 with a nice hamon. It is polished to 600 grit and etched to reveal the details of the hamon. The blade itself is 12" from tip to guard.
The handle is black canvas micarta with stainless fittings. It is all held together with nickel silver pins and G-flex epoxy.
The sheath is a one of a kind dagger sheath made with leather from Wickett and Craig. It is fully tooled and stitched. The accent pieces are lizard skin. It is a two part sheath, separating from the belt loop, and held into place with a tom brown stud. The knife slips in nicely and draws easily. Wear it and you feel like a swashbuckler.
Dimensions
Blade - 12' tip to handle
OAL - 18"
Price - $495 shipped to US. I prefer paypal, but will accept check or money order
The first to post here "I'll take it!" gets it.
