Ok, guys - I made a drawing of one with a 4.5" handle. What do you think?

Starting from the bottom and working up.... does anyone know the blade length for these pictured?

I can't get my hands on the two models I have right now to measure... and I for sure can't remember ........

I assume the 2nd one up is 3.5 inches.

The longer handle works for me, but I'd be fine with a 4" handle as well. I would prefer not to have a 4" blade as that is pushing the legal carry length in some areas and I would want this to be a possible EDC.

I think the proportions in the original are better looking to the eye, not sure what I think about the second drawing. I think the second drawing needs more blade, it looks "off" somehow to me.

Looking more at the design and checking some measurements, I think 4" in the handle would be fine for me. It looks like you have an extra half an inch or so in front of the handle where you could choke up some if needed?

This is the 4" handle (which, as shown, is plenty for me - I wear Large size gloves, sometimes XL depending on the brand, but mostly L).

I think that 4'' is plenty handle. At least so long as you are going for short.

I agree... I also wear a large/xl glove and i have a couple of 4" handles and they are fine. 4 1/2" might be nice if you plan on putting on a lanyard...

I will get one either way!

Well, I love it! I remember asking if one of these would be made at some point so I'm thrilled lol. If you are making some of these up would it be possible to get on a list to get one? I am on the bushcrafter list, but if I could switch over to this design I'd love it. I know it would be a bit before delivery, but I'm fine with that. If this is possible let me know and I'll PP the money as long as it will be in the same neighborhood as the bushcrafter cost.

Hey Dan would it cost you any more to produce some with a full flat grind the same as your mini nessmuks as opposed to the scandi grind ?

But I'm not going to let that hold me back this time.


I will have some of both likely....3/32" scandi...and 5/32" full flat grind.
