About a year ago on Ebay, there was a custom maker selling a knife.....it was an absolute BEAST. I know nothing of the maker, model, material. Only thing I think I recall is that he might have been located in Alaska....there was a write up about him chopping through frozen Moose legs. The only reason I ask it here was because I found it while looking for Busse.....damn I hate sounding like "that" guy.....have you seen that movie, where those people do that thing, and it stars that person form that movie:o

I am just hoping one of you might have a clue as to who this was.......sorry, it has ben bothering me for a while and had to ask!

The funny thing is: That I remember seeing a knife on ebay from a maker that was bragging about how he chopped up frozen moose legs....the only reason why I remember is that....well....not too many people chop up frozen moose legs :D

I'll have to search around.
 
Couldn't find the guy again....did find some cool damascus tomahawk heads though....been wanting a 'hawk.

Well it sure beats sounding like "That Girl"................... oh am I getting old. If you can remember "That Girl" or perhaps anything with Marlo or Danny Thomas in it then we all are getting really OLD! :)

Couldn't sleep last night.....? Been awake since 7:30 yesterday morning....worked all day in the warehouse....didn't sleep, and have to pull the same shift today. I think it will hit around noon.
 
I think the name you`re looking for is Adam DeRosier. When he completed a blade he would test it on a moose bone-leg.
 
No for both of them, well I couldn't really find too much on Adam Derosier.

But the knife went for about 500, back then ..I never could have imagined paying that much for a knife....now I want one. It was quality/class. Very nice custom piece.
 
What "VERY" popular TV show was a spinoff form the Danny Thomas show? We know you are old if you saw the original run.

Speaking of Bill, look what he just finished up...

I'll be needing an elk leg too. Now there were some elk released in the Smokies by the TWRA. Hmmm......

Hey, Guyon, you got your Jungle Knife! :thumbup:

It will develop a patina from chopping vegetation and tree sap. I just had to clean mine up with a Scotch Brite wheel.
