HEHEHE!!! Man was it fun!!!! Me my Big Bro and his friend Timmy (the one with the guns), went to some place (wasn't paying any attention... :p) about 15 miles out of my town, to go shotting.

He brought a old Remington, a Ruger .22, a 7mm, and a SGS (thats what he called it. It kinda looked like a a semi AK47....) My first to be fired was the .22. :D This was maybe the funnest because it was just as loud as my Gamo pellet gun which made me laugh :D

Then I shot the 7mm. We had a target (3 to 4 IN.) about 50 yards out. Timmy went first, no luck. Then my brother, no luck. Then me, FIRST shot, HIT!!! DAMN was I surprised! It had one hell of a recoil too... :D

The SGS was fun but just a little bit front heavy and just drained the joy out of it... :( still fun though :D

Then my favorite, The Shotgun.... We were shooting skeat, and it took me two tryes before I could hit it, pretty consistantly. The funny thing is, NOW I WANT ONE!!!! The Remington 870 Express Super Mag, is looking maty tasty right now!...:D

LOL...Still remember my first time. It's all over now. Can we say...another new addiction. Oh yea... I think you mean SKS-Samozariadnyia Karabin Simonova (not SGS). Love mine.

Ha, ha - now you're hooked. And you thought knives were expensive. Wait'll you get bit by the pistol bug.

Glad to hear you had fun on your first trip to the range. Good luck picking your first gun.

Great to hear! I had my son on the range with his little Chipmunk .22 single shot when he was 3-1/2 years old:D He has progessed to a Taurus Model 62 pump (youth version) and I just put a Tapco T6 stock on a youth Ruger 10/22 (really good for his shorter length of pull). I'm planning on getting him the "Trifecta" that has the .22LR, .243 and 20 gauge barrels...that'll make a good all-round hunting gun for him for more than just squirrels. Next is a decent .22LR pistol and building him his .22LR AR15:D

Good stuff man. I've been shooting since i was a baby. The sino-soviet SKS in standard or paratrooper is still my absolute favorite gun to shoot. I don't care for the Yugo versions. Most of mine are first year factory 26's. It's very cool to me to shoot a battle rifle from 1956 that is still terrifically accurate in the right hands and still performs as well as the day it was put together. Ammo is cheap. Not as cheap as it used to be, but still pretty cheap. In my opinion, they are pretty much the best bang for the buck. Also, from a collector standpoint, they are eally fun to find. If you know what you're looking for, you might spend a hundred bucks on something worth much more. Anyways, have fun shooting. You're bitten now. It's all over. Before you know it, you'll drop some serious cheddar on something.

In order for me to be able to afford my handgun (I only have one... so far), I had to realllllly skimp on eating. The price was crazy, and I wasn't getting paid for another week. Thank God some of the people I work with have a lot of fruit trees in their backyard.

Needless to say... I pooped out a lot of liquid and seeds till payday. :D Really cleaned out the ole' franken'turder too.

Well, it's already been said, you're screwed now. I'd have your wife change all your bank account info so you can't get to it. Haha, just kidding. But seriously, you should probably do that.

The disease will one day mutate... those carbines and rifles will dwindle in number. Then, the evil-bottom-feeders, aka 'rude-case-tossers', will go... replaced by the purity of the round gun (revolver). A properly gripped (cocobolo) revolver, like my .45 Colt S&W 625 Mountain Gun, can happily co-exist with a new Buck 408 S30V Kalinga Pro (See below.). Of course, black tacti-cool knives will dwindle in sync with the semi-auto's - replaced by wood gripped, and mostly carbon steel, knives

It really is a sickness - and that revolver - and it's insatiable desire for .45 Colts - was instrumental in my taking on reloading as another hobby. Knives, guns, reloading... it just doesn't end!

wait until you shoot something full auto if you ever get the chance :D. i have shot a few and there's nothing like it. i shot a 9mm m-16 that belonged to a dea agent that was more fun than shooting one chmbered for the 223 round. i missed out on shooting an m-60 one day at my friends range . wait until you shoot some deer slugs out of that 870 :D. they will jar your teeth good for you. just make sure to set up some empty milk containers to shoot at or some old watermellons if you can get some.

If I could I would love to shoot a MP5 9mm... My favorite gun of all time... :)

With truck sales way down the local GMC dealer is giving a free Weatherby rifle if you buy a pickup truck !!! This is through Gander Mtn. Perhaps it's a nationwide thing.

That must be to shoot the gas station attendant with, kinda a free gas kinda promotion...:p
