Very excited about the Techno 2, more useful blade shape (IMO), seems like it'll be lighter and slightly thinner due to a thinner blade stock, and love the standoffs instead of the blue backspacer. Also excited about the Mantra 3, but not excited about S30V...again.
 
Kinda disappointed that the mantra 3 is s30v as well. I had the 1 and the m4 steel on it was one of my favorite things about it. That one smaller Taichung folder looked pretty good, but I didn’t catch the name nor the steel of it.
 
Much prefer the M4 personally. You can get just about any knife in S30V. Not that many production M4 blades. I've never had any corrosion issues with M4 but I guess if you live by the ocean or cut a lot of apple S30V could be beneficial
 
Nice, Mantra 3 looks good with carbon fiber laminate, compression lock and updated bearings.
 
In for the techno 2 as I love the 1, tho I was hoping for more changes.. hard to justify the new purchase if already have the 1
 
I like the Jerry Braugher (spelling?) Ti frame lock knife. Simple , clean lines and good looking. Also , those multi-tool knives look sweet too. Sign me up.
 
Love every major change on the Techno 2!

I don't like the new clip position at all, though. Not being a lanyard guy, I don't want a lanyard hole at all, so moving the clip down the handle to move the hole further up hurts.

I also don't like the change to blasted from stonewash. I imagine that was done to try to drop the manufacturing cost. The stonewashed handle was one of the reasons the original (in its original form) stood out to me.
 
I'm liking the Amalgam, the Brower EDC knife, and the Mantra 3. Also intrigued by the button compression lock on the Smock, but don't much care for the design otherwise.
 
That Amalgam looks great. I heart big Spydercos.

Where can I find info on the Smock?

Never mind. Saw it on Knife News. Awesome.

I am down for the Mantra 3. Really like my Mantra 1, so having a different lock option, along with updated pivot bearing setup, is awesome. Funny, I actually don't have any S30V Spydercos, so for a variety, why not.

Sure wish they would either do solid CF or just plain G10. I don't get the the thin layer of CF on top of G10. How is that cheaper than solid CF? You still have to peel-ply it, and you have to put two different materials together. Oh well...

How will the price compare to Mantra 1? That will be interesting :confused:
 
I am on the fence with the Mantra 3. Kinda wish it was a frame/liner lock. I wonder with the flipper tab if the compression lock will be cumbersome to use. Looks great though.
