I have all those 3" folders as well. Plus the Caly 3. The thing is, Mantra is my favorite among them (on some days, tied with Caly 3). I have a feeling this version will fit right in.

Yeah, the titanium handles are amazingly comfortable. If the 3 was all G10, I would be no big deal to round the corners. But as a laminate, I wouldn't mess with it.
 
Look how much straight edge is on the blade of the Amalgam, that's kinda neat although I am going to skip spyderco this year because s30v boredom and no recurves. Shame on the Techno 2 being XHP, it shut me out of the hunder pacer also. I think they are legitimately fooling people with the catch "X" as customers are not yet away XHP is a saltiness D2 (budget steel). Oh and the Szabohawk was better.

Guess I'll buy some old models this year. Maybe finally come across a CF dodo and a phoenix.

Yeah, CTS-XHP is a pretty great steel, and far from a budget steel in the opinion of myself and most others as well.
 
Is it just me or does the Techno2 not appear to have same mirrored stonewash as the original Techno or Bowie?

Oh I didn't see the bowies. I'll get the respect despite it being 154, at least it's easy as heck to sharpen. The sheath sounds cool too. That 20cv Zoomer I might have to get too because I never liked that griptilian handle and 20cv is amazing amazing stuff. Speaking of the griptilian check out that paysan's (which I will get too) blade shape. They didn't say the steel, is it s90v again?

I'm sold on the Paysan. My favorite Rassenti design and none of the drawbacks that kept me from buying a Nirvana.
 
Yeah, the Paysan looks right on the money. It may be the Spyderco to get for me this year.
 
That Mantra 3 looked really interesting. I too would prefer it in a different steel (not that I have any actual experience with S30V), but if the price is right and my cc isn't empty, who knows. :)
 
The Respect and the other Bowie both look great. Kudos.

That Rassenti is drop dead gorgeous.

Brouwer knife is nice sleek and low key - great for EDC. Love it.
(Tangent; really really like his Airika Puukko (not a Spyderco though)).

Eric Glesser said it was about 25% less than the Mantra 1 & 2, so that would put it in the neighborhood of $140-150. Doesn't strike me as too bad at all.
 
Wow, Spyderco is killing it. The new Rassenti addresses all of the issues I heard complaints about. Lockbar insert, taller grind, satin finish and improved bearing assembly. I'm sure it'll cost a fortune though.
Mantra 3 looks great too.
