It is - but at USD 400? You could buy a knifeworks exclusive 940 with 20cv, flytanium scales and aftermarket anodized stand-offs plus ti clip - and you would still have some money left...

Yea, MAP should be 15% less?
That seems about right for a titanium Benchmade compared to what they've charged in the past.
That is really out of the box for Benchmade. I wish it were a front flipper personally.

May I ask - where did you see it for 320? Benchmade is offering it for 400, Knifecenter's offer is 340, couldnt find any other price tag online yet. Besides, 320 is still too much, thats Reate price territory and we all know qualitywise Reate is well ahead of Benchmade, unfortunately.

He said the "MSRP of the 940-1." MAP On that is around $270USD. So for an extra $70 over the 940-1, you get Ti scales instead of CF. Up the the individual if the extra coin for Ti scales is worth it.
Fwiw, a quick search of Google shows aftermarket Ti scales are around the $90-$100USD for the 940 (for a set of plain scales).

I also really like the Tengu... But it looks to have a lot of corners. I really like the slipjoint-style shield, though.

The tengu is really cool, I've had a need for smaller knives lately, and that looks perfect, black and white is a really nice theme for me too. The blade shape is great too, I'd like to see a larger sized tengu with a clip someday too, maybe a sculpted Ti clip, but those could be hit or miss.
I like the SOCP too, because who doesn't want a 4.5" spearpoint. I'm a little disappointed this iteration has the CF elite scales though, I would have preferred G10 like the original. Who knows, maybe the plastic will make it feel like a super 530.
