I've bit my tongue as long as I can...lol
Hollow handle knives are for movies (thanks Raven). Just not as strong and reliable as a full tang.
Why on earth would an elite warrior even consider taking one of his survival tools and potential last line of defense weapon out of its scabbard, tie a string to it and hook it into a rock outcropping to tether his lunch for later and risk losing that piece of kit???
Right... it's not going to happen. If they're trained to do so, that is mind boggling as well.
Looks like crafty marketing to me.
Perhaps it was discontinued because the Rambo movies ran their course?
My opinion of course, which I'm allowed.
Yes. The whole tie a string to it, and leave it in the coral underwater anchoring a dry bag or whatever... is silly AF (why not just tie paracord directly to the coral and keep your blade

Everything I saw about it so far and heard from people regurgitating and selling it to me has been marketing hype. Personally I would like it more if is was not a spear (but the spear shape does harken back to actual historical diving knives from the 1940's etc...), if it has to be a spear would like it sharp on both sides like the military version. If they are doing the civi version different, they should have omitted the serrations if anything.
In tactical and traditional knives lately everyone is trying to bake in some perceived future valuation into the initial pricing whether it is a GEC "dealer" or Benchmade, or Buck. It is pretty obvious, and it is my opinion. It is just people cashing in if they can.
People who are enamored with only one type of knife or only one brand they are loyal to will be more susceptible to any "gamechangers" or "revolutionary" products from their pet brands, even if the products are recycled or ugly AF. It has always been like this, but inflation is making people greedy AF. People who see it will vote with wallets, and people who do not will become apologists for their pet brand... extreme brand loyalty in firearms, knives, and cars can be like a cult. One this is for sure, it is all entertainment if you see it that way

No one is forcing anyone to shell out the $800 here. I expect some will hit the secondary market (and marked down to move) and I also expect there to be more runs and variants... but I have been wrong before.
I love ZT and BUSSE, but I won't buy any of their weirder offerings, and there have been a lot of them. Everyone should buy what they like and some people LOVE this new Buckmaster. But anyone telling you they know for a fact this thing is going to be worth 5k next year is smoking that good marketing tish.
