I heard rumors that a Strider SNG slipjoint was at the SHOT show and also that CRK is using perforated washers in the new Sebenzas. does anyone know more about these two things?

I think a Strider slip joint is a great idea for the UK and German market. I wish them luck.

Indeed Strider did have a SNG slipjoint , and it was flush in the closed , open and 1/2 stop positions. It felt really smooth , and the UK & German market is the market it is aimed at from what I recall. I just know I gotta get one.
Be nice to see the PT as a slip joint as well.

I wish they'd reintroduce the large regular sebenza. why, why, why did they discontinue it in the first place?

My thoughts exactly. I love the regular profile all the way round. I hate the pointy 21 blade.

I really like the idea of "super premium" slipjoints coming into the marketplace.
Good not only for the UK & German markets, but also for the many US jurisdictions that frown on lockblade knives.

Good as well for those of us who enjoy carrying & collecting high quallity slipjoints.

Im looking forward to that one!

I don't really see the point of having a super tough knife such as the SnG and not have a lock.

It because not all countries/regions allow a locking blade. Thats exactly why Spyderco makes a wide selection of slipjoints too.

couldn't agree more. This is a stupid idea in my opinion. The whole point of buying a strider is to pay ridiculous money for a strong knife with style. They, the sng's, have thick blades and are meant to be used and abused. These knives are NOT great slicers and a slip-joint version seems like a joke to me

I think this decision will call Strider's philosophy into question with some.

Well, we know why slipjoint knives are made. But specifically what is the point of spending money on a tough-as-nails, heavy abuse knife if it does not lock?
It's like buying an armored car that doesn't have a bulletproof windshield.

That's what he was getting at...
