Should I be concerned with a cabochon inlay on the handle?

I had an old 'website' regular sebbie that had a stone and I never had an issue with it. These knives are pretty, but they will stand up just fine to use or Chris would not make them.

Are the cabochons pressed into the handle or are they held they with VHB tape like the inlays? Glued? Does anyone have a pic of a cabochon inlay from the back of the scale?

They are epoxied in. If you take a sebenza apart, you will see it from the other side. They enlarge the scale making alignment hole. I have a couple and all are the same.

Hi Terry, any update on the knife? Getting close to Christmas! Which one are you looking at?

After much deliberation I've decided against the small Sebbie with the cabochon and decided on a large DT damascus with snakewood inlays. I'm in love. Just waiting for some funds to become available and I should be ordering soon.

Great choice Terry! I might be getting the same knife next year. Im torn between it a large ebony wood DT, and a large micarta DT.
