Should I carry this?

Like the title says....should I actually put this into everyday work use? I didnt know the DOB when ordered, and the slabs are stamped B-08, so even though its got a 9/14/09 DOB its still an early 21. Save it/Sell it or carry it and work it hard? (its BNIB, only taken out for these pictures has not cut anything) I dont know if earlier 21's have any kind of following yet. (besides just for the No Idaho stamp)

Is this just an old current knife or something I should bother saving, your thoughts?

Carry and use it. Then send it back for a spa treatment. One of the awesome things about CRK. They can make it look brand new all over again!

Perhaps slightly more value than a Seb with Idaho stamp, but not enough to justify not carrying and using. But as a relative newcomer to Seb's (only own three), I certainly welcome more knowledgeable opinions.

use it! add some heritage to it. Kill a bear with it and brand it with a story :)

Chris Reeve punches a baby everytime someone posts a thread about whether or not they should use a Sebenza. It's called "worker" for a reason.

^^^Great answer. There are a few Sebenzas I wouldn't want to use, and therefore I haven't purchased those specific examples. But then, I'm not a collector.
Even if I were, I don't think earlier PJ 21s have much additional collector value. Enjoy using it.

I agree with using it. The idea of not using it would be to have a higher value. Use it and if you want to sell it send it for spa treatment to get the value back. As long as you are happy keeping it don't spa it...

I just wanted to make sure this didn't have some collector status already that I was unaware of. I had every intention of using the knife til I saw the B08. I bought it because of the no stamp and solid backed pins. Less places for diet to colllect.

Use it. Use it a lot. it will clean up nicely with a spa treatment when it comes time.

Throw it in your pockets with loose change , make it a little easier on you to get that first scratch. Use it like you hate it .

25 years down the road if it's a million dollar piece CR can refinish it and you can get 750,000.00 for it .

It's gonna live in a pocket with my flashlight. It'll be scratched day one. I never had any qualms about using a Sebenza. Just had never seen an early scaled lefty like this. I'll post pics tomorrow with its first use.

It's a lefty, any collectible value is massively reduced on the open market. I don't think 21s will ever create the demand PJ Regulars do. There are just WAY more in circulation. User IMO.

It's a nice knife, it is special, enjoy it.
When you met a fellow knife-knut you can point out all that makes it special.

Use It. It's an unmarked 21. Harder to find than in days past because of all the whining about the Idaho Made stamp. Use it and enjoy it in good health. Every scuff and scratch it encounters is an adventure you were on with it. I am not a spa person either unless there is something wrong. Scuffs and scratches are the norm. I hunt with a $10,000 double rifle that is scuffed and scratched and color casing is wearing off from USING it and enjoying it and from belong over my shoulder when dragging deer out. Use it and Enjoy it sir....!!!

All duly noted. Makes me happy....I didnt wanna wait to have anther one shipped :D

Reporting for work, declipped and ready to dive in. The Vanquest wallet and the flashlight are the items this Seb is going to spending a lot of quality time with.

Have to say its noticeably thinner (almost 1/8") than the 556, and disappears in the pocket. I love the "clank" it makes when it contacts the flashlight. It shipped MUCH sharper than my Griptilians did.
