Should I clip this bulbous spear blade?

I have already performed extensive modifications on this knife. I have rehafted the backsprings and added the vintage style opening notch for the lifter blade. This has been my knife of the year and it's what I carry most days. I'm thinking about lopping the top of this butter spreader off:

I've performed the modification before on a 78, and that knife is still floating around here somewhere:

I think black mamba has done a nice one on a 92 Eureka, too.

I vote "It's your knife, do what makes you happy."

Personally, I wouldn't convert to a clip point. I'd rather add another knife that has a clip point, like a Barlow, to my pocket.

Love spear points but a big fan of clips...I can see how difficult it can be...

I personally love those big #85 spearpoints.

I think the blade is “meaty” enough to clip and I personally thing it would look pretty darn good.

I've done that with a 72 (spear to clip) but I like the 85 as is and have plenty other clip blades. So, no I would not modify it... but it's yours to do as you wish and if you do mod it, it may become very special to you.
Your knife, your choice!

The fat spear is one of my absolute favorite things about my 85,however I voted clip it. Its yours and I feel deep down you wanna clip it

ive thought about it myself, but my 85 is currently getting blade deleted atm. Id be curious to see how yours turn out. The 78 turned out pretty nicely, and the 85 youve got even more meat to work with!
