Should I Get A BK11 or A BK14?

Or do you guys think i should get an izula? I prefer smaller blades? Are the handles the same length on the BK14 as the izula?

They are shorter on the Izula, but about the same size as the Izula II, IIRC. I would still recommend the BK14, it's cheaper. ;)

I like the BK-11 best. Great EDC and great in the Kitchen. The BK-14/24 is great too and might be slightly better at wood carving stuff simply because you can push down on the pommel of the knife where on the BK-11 the wire cutter/bottle opener digs in to your hand.
The BK-11 handle fits me best and is most comfortable for most tasks.
But you really can't go wrong either way since both are Awesome knives.

As far as the IZULA goes, the handles are almost identical. The choil on the BK-14/24 is maybe 1/8 larger, if that. Not much difference in the hand just a bigger blade on the BK.

The IZULA is sandwiched between the BK-14 and BK-24 so you can really see the similarities.

I like the Becker blade size better than the IZULA.

But if you wanted to go smaller, I suggest the ESEE Candiru. This is one of my favorite knives.

My final thoughts:

Get the BK-11 or the BK-14 and get the Candiru.
You will be very happy! :D

The more important question might be - How much beer do you need to open while in camp?

It's not bad. A little better than the Ka-bar coating I think.
I am going to strip it as soon as I can etch the logo's tho. I prefer non-coated blades.

Thanks, i prefer non coated as well. But i think i would like the black coating more then the gray coating

Meh, you can pop tops just fine with the spine of the knife. I personally think the 11 would benefit from getting rid of the opener.

I have to agree with Dexwithers. I think the 11 is the better handle design. It feels a bit fuller. The only reason I switched to the Izula line was that I prefer the blade geometry more.

I've not yet held a BK14, but I know that my BK11 practically became a new knife when I added the micarta handles to it. It now does most of my minor work, with the BK17 doing everything else. I don't do any bushcrafting right now, so I'm pretty happy with what I've got.

I prefer the handle on the Izula 2 over the Izula and BK14/24.

as a dark horse offering: the TOPS Tibo has a more comfy handle than all 4 of them.

I still need to pick up a Tibo. I meant to do that before. They didn't have them in stock at Grand Prairie till now though. :(

The answer to your question OP is they are both very good blades and it really comes down to which one you prefer in hand. No matter what comparisons you find online and which people point you to, if it doesn't fit you, you won't be happy with it.

Get both and see which one like best and then sell the one you like least to someone on bf for a really good price!
