I'm thinking about getting a small Sebenza 21. Are they worth it? I have been thinking about getting one for a while now but never really jumped on it. Thanks.

Of course you should, but they are addicting. The question soon will be, "should I get another Sebenza?"

Here's how it goes. Get it and play with it. If it doesn't float your boat, you can sell it for 88% of what you have into it if its still in good shape, and 75% even if its a user/beater. You may think its the best thing ever, or maybe you won't. Its groovy either way. But the only way you will know is if you get one. Just don't lose it, because then you will have a frowny face.

I think you could get better for less money. Honestly, the 0560 might do you much better. The Sebenza is a nice iconic knife, but I don't think it would be worth the cash when there are so many good knives out there.

I handled one after getting a 0560... It was very unimpressive.

I have an umnumzaan, which is an awesome knife. I have been EDC'ing it exclusively for a few years now, and have grown very attached to it...

I nominate an Umnumzaan for your consideration.

Though now I am in the position of deciding what knife I want to buy, and I am leaning heavily towards a large micarta seb. Though if a Hinderer XM18 pops up for less than $800 in the next week I am buying that... But I still want a sebenza...

So yeah, get an umnumzaan... first ;)

:cool::thumbup:

No get a Byrd.

Seriously only you can answer that. It's a risk free knife. Get it, if you don't like it sell it. Can we stop getting the same thread over and over again?

I bought one after having a 0560 and an 0561 and I was blown away by the sebenza. Different strokes and all that.

Well I would say if you're questioning it then you should probably just go with something else that you're sure that you want. That's a lot of money to not be sure about.

You say you have been thinking about getting one for a while now.

Lets face it you won't ever stop until you get one so just do it. By one on the used market, if it isn't what you want resell it.

I had one, wasn't impressed. I read all the time about precision machining, smoothness etc, etc but I have owned several knives at 1/3rd the cost that were just as smooth and tight.

I rotate a para2 in my EDC that is easily as smooth and tight as was the Sebie.
