Should I get a used HEST for $60?

i prefer folders for edc, but when I got my hest it jumped to the top of the list! You won't be disappointed, unless you don't get it!

I haven't bought it yet. The guy just got back to me today. I'll go take a look and buy it tomorrow. If I don't want it for some reason, I will sell it to one of you guys cheap (but not under $60 ;) ).

My one hangup with the HEST is the cutout for the bottle opener. If there is a pry bar at one end, do I really need a notch cut out of the spine for opening bottles??

Otherwise, I like everything about the knife!

I like fixed blades for carrying, but the laws in one close city (where I work) say that any knife outside of the home cannot be a fixed blade. Doesn't matter if it is 1" and dull. That law really annoys me. If it weren't for that law, I'd carry my Izula regularly.

ETA: Thank you all for the responses and the advice!!

Ok, I did it. I went and bought the HEST today. It is in very good condition, BUT there is a tiny bit of tip damage. The guy said it was like that when he bought it. The very end of the tip is broken. See the picture, with a dime under the tip. I'm not hung up on it.

A couple of times on the sharpener should bring the point back. Good find.

nice score!
should take less than 5 minutes with a stone to clean up that point.

I agree, it won't take long at all. It is plenty sharp right now, so I will wait until it needs a sharpening before I touch up the tip.

Here is the complete package...

Thanks.
Yeah, I know it was basically a no-brainer for everyone who responded :o I knew it was a good deal, but money has become very tight for me in the past year, so I needed to know it was a REALLY good deal. I want to date a new girl and I was contemplating getting the knife or taking her out to dinner. I'm sure I can still take her out, but I will need to find a second job soon.
