Should I leave this in the safe?

That is up to you and what is important to you. It can go both ways. If you put that thing in a safe it could increase in value because most people do actually use their 560 and therefore it may make they rarer in the future after they are used to death and hard to find. But they made a lot of them and they are quality so they will last a lifetime I would think. Or it could NOT go good and the slightly tarnished reputation of low serial number knives ( some feel early knives had issues with the edge longevity. ) could make the knife a hard sell later. The real question is do you mind risking the chance that it will most likely will never amount to huge amounts of profits later on down the road? Or would you look back on things and wish you had enjoyed the knife all those years? What you need to do is evaluate the knife and see if it appeals to your tastes enough or if its better off being an admiratio piece. There really is no arguing whether you should use it or not if you dont feel the knife fills a role you wish would. Its better to have your edc or in rotation knife be useful to you. That is unless you dont use your knives much in which you may not have specific preferences. If your question is purely "should I hold on to this because there is a high risk of it becoming a valuable?" I guess anything can happen but it is pretty similar to winning the lottery. And even if you did hit the jackpot I dont know if it would ever be worth so much as it being worth the investment of stuffing it away. Unless you are ok doubling your money (maybe) in 30-40 years.

Another vote to use it. I've been using an 0550 and 0566 a lot over the past year (primarily the 0566, with Elmax) and they're not disappointing at all. Great knives.

Use and enjoy the knife. It's your knife and it's your life. Why save it for the estate sale.

i say use it, its highly unlikely to become a collectors item , and with regular use it gives the knife some personal character anyway. might as well not let it go to waste
either that or trade it for something you will use

Definitely going to use it. I wanted to make sure I wasn't going to mess up a prized knife. My use includes but not limited to.... opening boxes, cutting cardboard, wire, etc.
