Should I let this bother me?

I just got your email this morning and I took a look at the picture. You should send that one back. Thats an odd defect and one I have seen on a couple of these knives. I need to make our engineers aware of this. It is possible that there is something that needs to be corrected in the sintering die.
Send it to me and I will make sure you get the same exact model, steel and all, back. Minus the pit in the bolsters of course.

What can a guy say other than WOW. Gotta say between the Bucks, Joe and the incredible Pete, Buck is certainly deserving of more of my money and is likely to get it. Nicely done Joe. :thumbup:

My girls want another trip to Post Falls and the Buck facility. See you this summer.
