Shooting a knife is akin to putting on a hockey mask and hitting knives with a three-pound sledge. You should expect a little heat from your "audience." Like our hockey-garbed "tester," TacBlade was showboating for attention. If he really wanted to shoot a Busse, he should have just done so and gone about his business. If he can't take some ribbing, he shouldn't have posted about it.

I haven't read the thread but I say "SHOOT'M" they've been shot before and survived.
Hell, I might go shoot one this weekend.

Didn't Indiana Jones grow up in Utah? That would suggest that he carry a MOAB.
 
Honestly, no disrespect to TacBlade intended, but his post did remind me of the very first noss4 posts here at Bladeforums with lines like "Who will survive and what will be left of them ?" and "The knife world will be watching." He hadn't even done anything yet, and he was trying to drum up some attention. Of course, we all know that noss4 went on to great things, so maybe this is just TacBlade's entry onto the world stage. :D

So you think there's nothing off-kilter about a guy who wants to go out and blast a $300+ knife with a .50 caliber bullet? Frankly, I think it's plenty laughable.

I've seen them around. Very tempted to get one.

Mines made out of leather. Don't remember if it's roo or cow. Need to learn how to crack it without taking an ear off.;)

Seems like it takes some talent to make them. Kind of like making sheathes for knives :D Talent I'm a little short of.

They're fun but It's harder than it looks, and the secret is all in the wrist. The less effort the better the crack. Good luck and wear some eye protection.
